All,

I had pouchitis for months and had no idea. I went on antibiotic (few rounds) and it kicked it. I was doing really well then all the sudden it got out of wack and then I got a common cold. I am over the cold and it is 6 days since I have resolved that but I am still not where I was before bowel wise. Does it take a while to get back to where you were before or could it have triggered pouchitis again?

Thanks,

Derrick

Scott,

It is my first cold since I have had my pouch so I really don’t know what is normal and what is not.  It isn’t terrible but frequency is up and not a formed as it was. It has improved looking as it was a lot of yellow. That has gotten better but I am just a little off still and don’t know if I should give it more time or if it could have reignited my bad pouchitis I had.  It seems I should give it a little time.

I Appreciate the insight!
