72 in great physical condition (if it matters) and have had J pouch for 22 yrs w/ minimal problems (occasional pouchitis and maybe even ongoing mild to moderate pouchitis - get scope now each year - generally shows some inflammation) //// well this week had PSA jump to 6.16 from 2.7 in just a little over a year ago (been as high as 4.12 five yrs ago and as low as 1.93 2-3 yrs ago) /// so I am under the impression that that prostate removal is extremely difficult w/ a J pouch due to scar tissue / know I might be getting ahead of things some but would like to know /// would greatly appreciate any comments

Vince, I'm 68 with a j-pouch, found out I had prostate cancer a few years ago and immediately researched the surgeons at Cleveland Cleveland, Mayo and Johns Hopkins. I chose Dr. Jihad Kaouk at CC. He performed a robotic radical prostatectomy using a single-port robotic system to bypass the scar tissue. It's even outpatient surgery, just a small incision below the navel through the bladder to reach the prostate. Really amazing technology.
any incontinence issues? (that's what I fear)
