I have had a j pouch since 1988.  Recently I am having some different symptoms that cause me to worry about the health of my j pouch and the cipro does not seem to work this time.  I do have a local GI, but am thinking about making an appointment with the Cleveland clinic whose doctors have seen many people with pouchitis.  Does anyone have a recommendation of a doctor you liked? Perhaps you just get assigned one, I have no experience with this clinic.  Basically I want exposure to doctors who have lots of experience with pouchitis.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Donna- such great doctors in St. Louis! The Washington University GI clinic has been my “home away from home” since I was 18. Unfortunately, the surgeon who did my JPouch (1998) and small bowel resection (2010) moved onto UC health in Denver several years ago. But I get such great care…haven’t needed surgery since 2010, but the GIs are so responsive- my needs are always met - which anything GI related needs fast attention.
