Hi there, is this something others with pouches have experienced? I only started running 3 months ago, but have always walked lots. I’ve had my internal pouch for years now and so was concerned when I started bleeding….however noticed these bleeds are following a run (now I’m going further, 5-7miles).  I don’t seem to bleed any other time.

I also experienced blood in the stool after running, years ago. It's the shocks from running and a weakened or inflammed mucosal barrier I think. Now I've been hardly ever running in the past years, while cycling is no problem.

Try to run as smooth as possible to reduce shocks and twist the body only little. I also experienced bloody stool on rare occasions after nordic walking in the past, which produces more twisting than normal walking.

And of course you should have your iron blood levels checked if bleeding happens too often.
