I used to get Imodium in bulk but a few years ago they went to annoying blister packs over the counter and the max you could buy is 24. And it’s annoying as heck to cut open those blister packs for the large quantities that I take per day.

My insurance company used to cover a script for 3 pills per day but now isn’t for some reason. So my cost will now be approx $40 per month if I get it in bulk online (in bottle form) around $480 per year just for that medicine alone. Super annoying. I’m mean that’s only one of the medicine I’m on as a result of the j pouch. I just wanted to vent I guess.

Idk if it’s worth a call to the insurance company to see if they can give me a reason as to why they cover the med sometimes and not others. Immodium is way cheaper than the Colestipol that they DO cover so I don’t get it.

I did the same, I could buy the generic at Sam’s Club & get two 200 tab bottles for round $5-6.00, until some idiots had start using it for “other” reasons, and they took off their shelves. Now I end up ordering it on eBay from the east coast for triple the price. I normally take 6 to 8 per day, been trying to wean myself down to 6 per day. Very frustrating!
