Tomorrow I am going to have scope on my pouch. Prior to that they are doing an enema. My concern is that the enema might stretch my pouch opening. Also, I am kind of nervous about the scope. Do any of you have advice?
I am in the hospital on broad antibiotic IV and Saline IV.

The enema tip is generally quite small, so it’s unlikely to stretch anything. If it’s being administered to you make sure the volume is small, about 8 ounces/230 ml. If the staff got confused and thought they were cleaning out a colon a much larger volume might be used, and that wouldn’t work with a J-pouch.
