For those of you who like to read into your condition, I wanted to share this exciting development.

Data for J-pouch related management, concerns, surveillance, etc have been sparse due to lack of numbers / co-ordination. It seems like Dr. Shen and colleagues have developed an international experts group and have started publishing consensus guidelines for management.

I wanted to share this so that you guys could forward to your GI specialists so that everyone is on the same page regarding best practices!

Thanks for the heads up.  Good info.

For others out there who like to learn more about our conditions, and how to manage them, Columbia will have its second IBD symposium next week.  Below is posted the link to register (do so as a patient) and a description.  Get back to me if you have any questions and please if you attend and have comments either send them to me or--better yet--fill out the evaluation form.  I thought the first one was excellent!  Jan
