Has anyone gone through anything similar? For everyday maintenance I was prescribed to take 500mg daily of flagyl just to keep things calm and it was working great. But now that is slowly starting to stop working and i'm noticing no matter what I eat or drink again i'm feeling the need to go to the bathroom within minutes again! It's so frustrating does anyone use or take anything that works well for daily maintenance and I guess slowing things down?

Daily antibiotics are a reasonable treatment for chronic pouchitis - I hope that’s what you’re “maintaining.” Assuming that you are treating chronic pouchitis, and that you’ve worked out your best doses of fiber supplements and bowel slowers, then you could try switching to Cipro, or (if that isn’t sufficient) adding Cipro to your Flagyl dose. When Cipro started to lose effectiveness for me I got good results by adding Flagyl.
