I'm step 2/3. Jpouch repaired but not connected. This morning I woke up to expelling muscus without control. Will this be an indicator of being with incontinence for the rest of my life?

Hey there. I had it after 1 & 2 - Never happen again after pouch creation. It was so incredibly different that mucus - Sometimes there was blood and extreme pain, but mine went completely way as if it never existed after step three. Both my doctor and my surgeon said it happens, it will go away, and it did.

My surgeon assured me that the mucus discharge prior to the take-down procedure was not related in any way to ultimate function of the j-pouch.

with my pouch redo 6 years ago i had mucous that would leak, when connected i still have a little leakage sometimes unfortunately
