Having pain issues. No scope in 4 years since Dr. Lavery retired from Cleveland. Put this off too long. Had posted here before but no response. Hoping for recommendations as been through too much to just throw a dart out there.
most appreciative of any input, pouches. Thank you in advance.

I would honestly call around and talk to the manager at the gastro clinics and tell them the situation. I did that and that saved me a ton of copays
Appreciate the response. Will keep asking. Patient testimonials are best if I can get them. Definitely have to prioritize taking care of this.
be well

You are welcome my dear And I totally agree with you!!! Sometimes we may not be able to attain patient testimonials unfortunately, but I totally agree with you, especially as a J-poucher
You be well to love, keep me updated
Thanks Lauren
ironic that I ended up in hospital this weekend with a blockage! In meantime I think I may have found a top notch specialist. Scheduling for follow up.
be well stay healthy!
Gee, I guess that is one way to find a doc you like! Hope this one works out for you.
I am on my 5th GI in my long journey of 50 years with IBD. It is always traumatic to have to find a new doctor. I have felt very lucky to only have one dud in the bunch and he did not even last long in my local medical center. But, for the most part, as long as they were willing to listen to my concerns and preferences, we got along great. I did not need a rock star, but someone competent and willing to try different approaches.

Did you see a Pediatric Gastro too in your childhood?
Who me? No, I was 15 at the time and treated on the adult medical floor And treated by an adult gastroenterologist. Not sure they even had pediatric GIs in the early 1970s. I am older than dirt and they had not even invented fiberoptic scopes yet.

Lol! Totally makes sense. I wish they had Pediatric Gastros back then for you guys. I find that Pediatric gastros seem to be more sentimental. I see a adult gastro now, its not too bad but I definitely miss being in the Pediatric gastro office LOL
