In early November, 2020 I was diagnosed with a rectovaginal fistula and had a seton procedure. The seton came out my rectum and into my vagina. It was lovely (read sarcasm). As of recently ( 2 months later) I realized this seton is no longer there. I went to see my surgeon yesterday and they say it happens.  I had vaginal gas and lots of discharge. 2 weeks ago I started Remicade. I've had 2 loading doses. I didn't feel it fall out and I don't know when this happened but I don't have any vaginal gas and all the discharge that I had.  So we are proceeding with just the Remicade.  That was a very expensive procedure for a 2 month seton.  Insurance did cover most of it because it was a year with a lot of claims. But still!  I was told yesterday that it was a comfort drain (not a cutting ) seton.

Anyone else have one that fell out?

Thanks, Karen
