Yes I'm leaving in a few hours. I've got a ton of gas trapped in my stomach and it hurts like crazy. The doctors don't seem very concerned about it. They said it will work its self out with time.

So happy to hear!!! I hope everything will be great for you!!! I think the gas came from surgery, sometimes the surgeons blow up the stomach with air to see everything more clearly, hopefully everything will come out soon.

PLEASE PLEASE take it easy!!! I did not take it easy after takedown surgery and my stitches came out and soap/water got in there from the shower and my wound got infected and it was open! I had to go back to the hospital for bowel rest and IV antibiotics. My wound had to heal from the inside out and my scar is very deep and sunken in, even to this day though not as much. Take it easy changing positions!!! Stay in bed and do not shower for a while, if you need to shower, cover it up really well!!! I did not shower after a while after that incident lol. Maybe a sponge bath might be better for you, but I did not even do that lol, I was like, " I AM NOT GOING BACK TO THE HOSPITAL" LOL. Keep everything away from there though!!!!

Lauren...everything was awesome..... my mother made everything perfect...I was only able to eat 1 serving as I was afraid to over do it but was able to bring home plenty for round 2 tonight...

one of the hardest things I’ve gone through in my life was my first surgery..

my family was not allowed to even enter the hospital due to Covid so they dropped me off in the parking lot...and then after the surgery was over I woke up with no one...... it was really hard didn’t get a kiss from my girl until 6 days after...

So happy to hear that!!! I am glad you had enough for round 2 tonight lol.

And dang that must have been rough for you, I am sorry to hear that! At least its all over now and you are healthy. On the bright side, you know now that you can overcome anything after going through that; you are so strong!!! Its amazing how you still got the surgery knowing that you would be alone, that is brave!

Remember to drink water: before, during, and after every meal; that is a tactic I use to avoid blockages; I have had my J-pouch for 6 years and never had a blockage in it, follow that rule lol

Had a great time, both daughters here and grandson. And tomorrow I'm going to watch my son get married on zoom! We were supposed to be there but he is in Seattle, we are Indiana. Due to covid cancelled the plane tickets but we will go out after covid clears up and all celebrate then! They have a judge coming to marry them at the house.

Oh that is sooo cool! Does it cost them extra for the judge to come to the house???

@Former Member I dont think so. They were going to go to courthouse but its not open for weddings due to Covid. The brides brother was going to officiate before we all decided better to go out for a celebration after Covid.

Oh cool!!! I see you guys have everything covered

How was the wedding??? Was it beautiful to watch and was it long???

@Former Member it was short but beautiful! They are so happy. We dressed up even though it was virtual. My son called later and said he wished I could've been there but he sounded so happy, which makes it a perfect day!

So happy to hear!!! I am glad you guys dd not let Covid win

Does he plan on having another wedding when Covid is over in the wayyy future???
