I really need to hear some people’s experience with Entyvio. I have Crohn’s of the pouch, I have tried to manage things holistically for years (probiotics, diet, etc. ) which has helped but I haven’t achieved remission. I’m TERRIFIED to try Entyvio because of all the side effects and I still don’t really believe it’s solving the root problem, but if I could actually achieve remission maybe it’s worth it? Any insight from anyone who has taken it—negative or positive

I haven’t taken it, but I do think it *is* kind of solving the root problem, at least the way I understand the root problem.
I’ve been taking it since July—I’ve had 4 treatments for pouchitis. (K pouch) I have had NO side effects and my pouchitis is gone. Had a scope from Dr Shen in oct—after 3 infusions. I was quite surprised at the outcome. Also I have been receiving iron treatments for the last 17 years and this is the first year I didn’t need one! I am very happy with the results so far. dr Shen says people can take entivyo for years without a problems.
Good Luck
I do not have any experience with biologics but I heard that Remicade usually works better for pouchers.
I have had really good luck with Entyvio. (Much better than Remicade, which gave me horrible side effects.) I too have crohns and at my last scope, the Entyvio seemed to be working well on healing the ulceration in my pouch. I've also had fewer bouts of pouchitis. (Unfortunately, I like junk food with sugar and my pouch doesn't always "cooperate" well after eating it. I do much better decreasing my sugar intake.)
I've been on Entyvio for about two years now.
I took Entyvio for years with no side effects. I hope it works for you. Doug

I also failed Remicade. Yeah I’m a dietitian so my diet and supplement regimen is very good and has definitely helped but just not quite enough. Have you had side effects with Entyvio?

Thanks! Did it work at all for you?
Nope - gave it 2 years - never got me off prednisone. It works for about 40%. So give it a shot. Some have had great success.
I took Entyvio with zero side effects, but also zero therapeutic effects. But worth a try, it certainly works for some people.
PTL I've had no side effects from taking Entyvio and thankfully, it seems to be working for me.
