I definitely don't.

Too much life to live without focusing on the past.

And trust me.. I went through decades of stuff before my surgery.  And the period of my surgeries was pure hell.

Lol... Why did you remind me? ... Just kidding.  I hardly ever think about it anymore. I may bring up my experience here. But I go on with life afterwards.

I do about my first takedown attempt when I got peritonitis and had to have urgent surgery to make a second stoma and clean out my belly.   That reset the 1-10 pain scale 'cos I hit 10.  And about running down the hall at work pooing in my pants - that was before the colectomy.   Pretty happy with the J pouch all things considered.   Sometimes I'm nostalgic for the days when I could wake up and have a nice simple toilet visit, one and done for the day.

Na, it just think of how good things are now. I some times think of how I can do things now that I could dream of doing back then (ie- go apple picking and not have to worry about being too far from the restroom) and when it got bad, it was the simple things like wall my dog without having an accident. But mostly I just live my life normal like.

Ya i remember but i just think how far ive come. My PTSD isnt really from having uc. I didnt even know i had uc. I just got sick one day and a few weeks later i had no colon and a bag. It was a huge adjustment to make in a short amount of time. I was so weak from being sick i could barely put my pants on. It was terrible. Im so glad thats over.
