I have had my Jpouch for 2 1/2 years. I have had different issues which I won't get into now. Where my jpouch is situated fees hard over my left abdomen with movement (kind of fluttery feeling).  You can feel the movement with your hand. It is not the usual gas bubbles which I have felt many times throughout my small bowel.  My usual gas problems are very low.  This is very uncomfortable and disconcerting.  I habe told nausea and weakness as well but no fever. Any thoughts?

I agree Lauren.  Having small firm pieces of stool sometimes and infrequently with heavy anal pressure and the bowel full of distention; and explosive diarrhea other times of the day.   Thank God for my pouchoscopy tomorrow. Something is not right.  My stomach has pain and mild nausea as well.  I will let you know the outcome.  Thank you

Hi Lauren. I am home from scope. Doc said my pouch looked good. My symptoms together with palpation, indicates to him partial obstruction (from scar tissue) and that just time, bland diet and lots of hydration should clear it. This is day 5 with no change. He said if pain becomes acute and BM's stop, I need to go to emerg.  Probably, surgical intervention would be necessary. I had partial once with my ostomy which felt exactly the same. I had very little stool in the bag and then a few days later a ton and relief from the blockage.

I am soo happy that you got back to me about how everything went down, thank-you for remembering to do so  I hope everything gets better! I hope everything passes very well for you.

A few tips for preventing blockages in the future that I personally follow is that: I drink water with, during, and after meals; chewing food very thoroughly helps preventing blockages as well, and moving around helps a lot too- but definitely nothing too extensive as that can cause problems as well. I hope these tips help you in the future.

Definitely keep letting me know how your doing with your symptoms. I really hope it gets better!

You are very kind.  Thank you again for tips.  We can all learn a lot from each other.  Hopefully, a few more days and this will resolve. Take care.
