They have a bunch of stuff you can get to help with the seal, if that’s what you’re worried about. I had my ostomy site near my belly button which made it difficult bc of the curve of the stoma site. Similar to if you had a curvy mid section. I told my doc that it was hard to get a good deal and she suggested this putty stuff that I could order Through the ostomy company- sorry, I don’t remember the name. It helped a lot. It was pliable at first but I used a hairdryer when changing the bag and it formed up and really created a tight seal. I’d imagine it would help with the curvy belly too. Might help with leaking and skin irritation at least.
Also something to think about is that a permanent ostomy is a little bit better bc they don’t have the two ends of the small intestine to leave open- for reattachment later on. For an end illeo, they are able to give you a much cleaner opening. It might help with leaking and such. Hope you figure outta what’s best for you.
