Hi guys,

I was watching the nightly news and they have just mentioned a new treatment that is in a human trial here, to fight the Covid 19...it is NOT preventative but purely a treatment for the worst cases...they have tested Humaira on 127 critical patients with excellent results...apparently, it has a positive effect on the inflammation in the lung lining.

I do not know if it will be retained as a treatment in the long run but for now, they are showing very positive results.

Interesting indeed! This is especially true since those who become ventilator dependent are not faring well. I was also reading some journal articles that pointed out that patients who take cytokine suppressors, like Remicade and Humira, were expected to be at higher risk for Covid-19. But, it is turning out that the risk is not increased.

So, perhaps what our docs are telling us is true, that we are better off staying on our meds and keeping our immune system on an even keel. I thought it was more to prevent relapse and weakening our systems generally, but there may be more to the notion of blocking cytokine storms!

 Dear Sharon,

Thanks for Sharing this,  I have been out of touch but things seem to be going well with my BCIR and I have been staying in and away from others except for when i get food or some medical supplies.  I am always glad to hear some promising news for helping people to survive and to stop damage and suffering.  I myself have little knowledge of this Covid 19 but listen to see what i might learn for the future.  Wishing all members here and the rest of the World a better place and the solutions found even when it is not expected.... it is what my life has been made up of and somehow things come together.

I have no answers, only the fact that here in France we have socialized medicine (not always such a good thing) and that the government is not charging by the shot or pill...they are also testing about 100 other molecules and this is just one of them...but I made it to the evening news where no other treatment has (other than chloroquine) in weeks.

Don't go stockpiling or buying stock in the company...it could all turn out to be a non-starter in the long run...
