Your best off just trying it, because everyone is different.  I'd start with a small amount though and chew really well.  Personally, the only food I avoid is really hot curry (which I used to love).  I can eat everything else, although string beans do pass through me quicker than other veg.  Beans (lentils, black eyed beans, kidney beans etc) literally no problems at all, in fact sir fry Mondays (in our house) where have stir fry pack and usually a can of lentils mixed in too, is usually my best most comfortable day/night.

Peas no problem either, but mange tout is similar to string beans... Quicker transit times.  Like I say.. Your mileage may vary, but in my experience is worth persevering as your body may get used to it, as long as it doesn't make you really bad of course.

Mikeey, I eat peas and beans without problems. The peas are the frozen kind so they are already cooked and frozen, I just reheat 1 or 2 minute in the microwave with 2 tablespoons of water. The beans are canned British Style Baked Beans, or any canned beans in sauce. You can always lightly rinse the beans if the sauce is too much. I find that canned beans are easier to digest because they are pre-cooked (and give me poops like a healthy colon).  If you make a bean dish from raw hard beans that you must soak overnight to release the starch and to make them soft enough to cook, they might pose a problem if you don't cook them through. And it's also a lot of work to soak overnight, etc. etc., just for a plate of beans. Beans are an excellent source of protein, soluble fiber, and B12 somi hope it works for you. Beans on toast for breakfast! I also eat cooked broccoli and string beans without problems, and it could be because I started eating these right after takedown in very small portions. Now I eat a cup or more. Try small portions and tell yourself to enjoy foods that you experiment with so your stomach knows it's okay. I think that tight stomach nerves can't process food properly. Good luck with peas and beans.
