Hi Everyone,

Long time reader, first time poster

I’ve struggled with chronic pouchitis for as long as I can remember. I’ve been on 250mg of cipro daily for the past 6 months as antibiotics seem to be the only thing that help me. I recently starting having a bad case of pouchitis so my GI just bumped me up to 1000mg  (500mg - 2 times daily) for 14 days.

I’ve also been doing a lot of reading on Visbiome and decided to order the sachets (not the extra strength) and going to try the recommend dose for pouchitis.

Does anyone know if it would be okay to take both the Cipro and Visbiome at the same time? Should I try to space them out? I just don’t want to waste any of the Visbiome doses of the Cipro is just going to kill off the good bacteria.

Just hoping to get some relief.

Thanks.
