hello , im not really sure were to go or who to talk to about this stuff so im posting on here , i feel like after surgery most of my doctors abandoned me. i had my takedown surgery im sept 2016 then i had my jpouch hooked up in feb 2017 it was a 2 part surgery. it started out okay but soon after it lead into using the bathroom alot , leaking in the middle of the night and severe body pains. was diagnosed with pouchitis and given cipro 500mg for 2 weeks , felt great , then soon afterwards felt sick again . was given a low dose for a few months still worked but ended up getting super severe body pains. i cant really function im in so much pain , my body aches 24/7 its hard to work out or do much . i feel as though i injure myself very easily , by carrying groceries to lifting weights. been dealing with this pain for a few years now . my mom passed in sept 2018 and i started to eat whatever , mind you im not really sure what i should be eating because no matter what my stomach doesnt feel great. now a year and a half later i have extreme pressurei n my stomach always and it feels as though my diaphragm is aching and having problems letting me breathe , like something is wrong in that area , sometimes i get pvcs when my stomach is a mess , it feels as though my stomach and chest vibrates and im over full 24/7 when i dont even eat much anymore. im tired of going to the doctors they dont really know whats wrong. hoping someone can help or give some advice . sorry for the long story tried to sum it up.

JDM, it sounds like you’re having an awfully tough time. You probably need to find a doctor you can trust and communicate well with, even though you’re tired of it.
I’m a little confused about what happened with the Cipro. Are you saying that you think it caused your body aches, and that these have continued even though you stopped the Cipro?
I agree with Scott. There are so many things that could be going on, I bet you are still dealing with pouchitis, you may need to also be on a good probiotic. As for diet my suggestion is trying the low fodmap diet and work from there to see what bothers you.
sorry guys i may have wrote alittle eratic not feeling to great today alot of pressure in stomach hard to breathe , been having these feelings for awhile now. Im not sure if the cipro caused it im just not sure why im having such severe body pains even in my chest. i can carry groceries in and it feels like i hurt myself the next day its strange , my chest pain is bad and hurts to the touch sometimes , been checked for arthritis and what not , just kind of fed up at this point. There arent many good doctors left in my area so its been rough . my current gi is super nice but he doesnt know much about the jpouch surgery so after i had it done hes alittle wary of treating me , he did fill me a script for cipro in the meantime. ill have to look into probiotics more i was taking a store brand one for awhile but didnt notice much difference. I honestly miss my bag a this point , thanks for the responses ill try that diet.
