My take down was 6/26. Everything was going well until 5 days ago. Ended up with butt burn and interior burning. The exterior burning is gone but the interior burning has not gotten any better. What could be causing this? Just doubled the pain meds.

Sounds like you may have a fissure up there.
Do you experience severe pain when having a bowel movement? Like you're passing razor blades? That's a classic symptom of a fissure.
It may also be normal and just the adjustment period. It seems that many new pouchers do just fine in the first days or week at home and then the stuff hits the fan. Most usually it's the new pouch getting used to things.
You might want to try a skin protectant like Calmoseptine, Nupercainal or other product. You can dab a bit up the anal canal. A bidet or sitz bath is also soothing.
You should probably contact your doctor about this because if it's a fissure you would most likely be prescribed something other than pain medications. If it's something like an abscess, you'd want to address that before things get worse.

I suspect you are both correct that it is a fissure. It does feel like passing razor blades. I use Calmoseptine and a bidet religiously. They helped with the external issue but I seem to have reached a healing plateau with the internal pain. I have an appt. with my surgeon Monday. Thank you both for the suggestions. Sometimes just having a clue to what could be wrong makes me feel better.
Surgeon found no sign of fissures just passage damage from extremely acidic output. I had problems with highly acidic output even with my colon. New regimen that is definitely working:
AM Morning meds, PeptoBismal, Immodium
1 hour later 1/2 dose Questran
Lunch and Dinner with Immodium appetizer
PeptoBismal and 1/2 dose Questran around 8 pm
Cleaning routine has also changed. Instead of using a flushable wipe followed up with a schmear of Calmoseptine, I use Balneol on tissue to clean followed up with a cotton gauze pad with Calmoseptine placed on effected area and left there. I use a long q-tip covered in lidocaine to soothe the internal fire. Relief is immediate. I hate sounding like an ad but the Balneol cleans better than a wipe plus bidet. It also has something in it that soothes inflamed skin and prevents chafing. It is in grocery stores next to the Preparation H.

I'm so glad you found relief. You may be the new butt burn queen with that recipe (like that's a title you wanted ). It sounds excellent.
You might want to look into bidets as well. Or a hand-held shower head. They both help greatly.

I have a bidet. It did not help much.
