I have had a j pouch for many years and would go to the bathroom 8 to 9 times a day. I then found out I had bladder cancer , I got 3 rounds of treatment that is injected to the prostate and then the bladder known as BCG. For two years I went to a terrible doctor and now going to sloan kettering. They have really helped me a lot, only I think it some how affected me and now have bad constipation, maralax and prune juice help a bit, just went for a pouchostomy and they are not able to find out what is going on. My doctor gastro doctor is coming back from vacation next week and he wants to try to see what can be done to help me. I have terrible anxiety and my nerves are getting the best of me suffered with problems fir almost 15 years, did not need any more problems . I am just wondering if anyone with a j pouch has ever gone through this. Thank you so much. Michael

Are you eating too many bulking foods or not chewing food properly ? These small things matter a lot to me . I get constipated if I am dehydrated or I eat too many bananas/peanut butter in one sitting or if I am not chewing my food properly.
As a solution I drink milk with pysllium husk to clear me up if I get constipated.
