out of curiosity what has the naturopath recommended it for?  Presumably it's too treat something?  ACV had basically limitless uses, but I'm not sure about using it long term for anything.   Its reported to lengthen the time food stays in the stomach (so presumably it's slower to the pouch and aid digestion).. this may be a good thing.

The increase in acid (even though it's mild compared to stomach acid! Is a concern to me.  Apparently it can change the pH of your urine and long term use may damage a guys prostate or lead depletion of minerals such as potassium and calcium. Then again I've also heard it's useful to treat prostate cancer, but in the scenario I guess it's with the risk (sorry I don't know much about how ACV affects girls)

That said, I've got a bottle in the cabinet (with the 'mother'.  I used it externally to melt off a mole that started itching but a doctor wouldn't remove because he said it was harmless.  I also used it on a stubborn case of ringworm, both times it worked great.

I have drunk it too, didn't notice any side affects and possibly did sleep better, but like I say, I'm not so sure about long term use, and I certainly wouldn't drink it neat.

Thanks for the replies. It does have a number of purported benefits but for me it was suggested to aid digestion/gas. I'd never drink it straight up - risk of enamel erosion among other things - but you can add a tablespoon to a glass of water. I suppose I could find ways to add it to my cooking. Otherwise I'm not sure I'm ready to jump on the bandwagon though LOL
