What is your diet? Does it ever calm down? For example, I eventually found mornings were lighter since I didn’t eat all night. I think I was going 10-12 times per dayeven up to 8-9 months after my takedown. It does take time. The longer you can stall from going to the bathroom, the more the pouch will stretch to accommodate more stool.

Some people take Imodium or Lomotil. Others swear by psyillum husk or metemucil, which are more natural. There are some foods that can bind you up more like PB, mashed potatoes, etc.

have you talked to your doctor? Does she or he seem concerned?

I think he meant having to go to clear up the pouch. Usually with loose stools you can't urinate too many times. The water absorption is lower. And Mark you are doing good just sit back give it time to adjust. The intestines will start to absorb more in a few weeks. And in few months you'll find yourself back on track. You can take probiotics or pysillium husk at best. And keep applying barrier creams on bottom part all the time. Eat foods like brown breads, rice, bananas, eggs, meats, oats, peanut butter, sweet potatoes, dairy(if you can tolerate). I'd say stay away from choclates, nuts and salads for the first few weeks. For the initial few weeks choclate was a nightmare to me. Hard part is I cant really stay away from them . FYI sugar isnt good for pouches.
