I am brand new to the world of the pouch. They discovered dysplagia end of last year. Moved from low to high in six months. Was told by the surgeon I would need to have my colon removed. He suggested a j-pouch after reviewing films and my history.  After removal, they indeed found cancer anyway in a separate part of the colon not part of the dysplasia. Inadvertently accomplishing the goal we set out to do.

I had closure almost six weeks ago. I head back to work soon ( thank god, I miss it so.) I am having control issues. I need some support, and some guidance.  From anyone. Especially a firefighter who has been down the path that I now walk. As I head back to work, with these control issues, I need guidance as to how to best work my 24hr shift. There are some temorary solutions available. I would rather be on the big red rigs with my guys, but I have to do what I have to do !!

God bless, and keep up the good fight !!
