I was born with Hirschsprung's and had my "Modified" Swenson Pull-Through at age 5.  About 2 years post-procedure began struggling with constipation again which became progressively worse into young adulthood until finally diagnosed with total colonic inertia. (Kept all 24 Sitzmarks at 3 weeks!). There was suspicion that my first procedure left an aganglionic segment.  It was recommended that I get rid of the entire colon so I had my J-pouch at age 36. Now age 60. Except for a few bouts with pouchitis early on and one SBO 7 years out - I have had a very good experience with my J pouch. Could understand why it's not for everyone though.

Would be happy to share stories/info with others.
