I've had stomach pains that starting on Sunday (today is Thurs) - somewhat painful, but there were what I thought as gas pains. They would come and go, but it would often hurt to bend over, sit down, etc, bc it would put pressure on my abdomen. Last night was pretty intense, but I haven't vomited, no fever, etc.

Today I woke up and realized that I went the whole night without having to get up to use the restroom -unheard of for me. I passed some stool this am but it was just a little, and then went again at work (Just a little). I'm not sure if I'm working on an obstruction or what. Not sure if I should call my GI.

I should also add I'm 6 weeks pregnant, but again, this feels like it did when I had the obstruction. Maybe it's just a mini one and it's working it's way through. The two things that concern me are the stabbing pain - gas passing through I imagine - and the lack of bowel movements. Any suggestions? Even if I did, I think he'd just say to keep pushing liquids and back off the imodium (I only take 3-4 a day throughout the day) and I haven't had any of that since last night.

I think you’ve got it right - most likely a partial obstruction. The other possibility that needs to be considered is an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, which is a Big Deal, so you might want to call your OB to make sure that isn’t what’s going on.

If it’s an obstruction the stabbing pain is not “gas passing through” but rather bowel getting stretched as gas/liquid/solid is pressed into the obstruction without being fully able to escape. I’d encourage you to stay hydrated, but not necessarily to “push liquids.” Go easy on yourself.

I’m glad you stopped the Imodium. The best reason to call your GI is to get a plan in place for what to do if an obstruction worsens, and under what circumstances to execute that plan. The pregnancy requires more thoughtful handling than if only one thing were going on.
