I reduced my meat intake drastically over the past two months, down to eating meat just one meal a week, on the weekends.  Its not that I used to eat an inordinate amount of meat before - just a little bit with every meal like most Americans.  But everyone has been remarking that my face has significantly slimmed down.  I've been eating just as many calories - I increased my carb intake.

I had read that meat causes inflammation in the body.  Given that we have more inflammation than other people due to our auto immune disease, do you all think this effect is more in our bodies than in other people?

Agreed . I eat more chicken than meat.  Have difficult days when eating meat especially if not good quality.  Also have mashed potatoes and light pasta with the chicken and do very well with that combo.  Easy to digest and have good soft stool.
