My jpouch is clear but my small bowel has ulcers in multiple places. I have a history of chronic pouchitis so I thought it was related to that but the scope showed otherwise. I'm on pred now and the blood I've been having for 3 straight months looks to be slowing down. My surgeon is referring me to a GI to get me on which is likely Entyvio and an immunosuppresant.
Do you think this means I have crohns? I didnt ask many questions because I was a bit stunned.

If the ulcers are all close to the pouch then it could possibly be caused by backwash. It sure could be Crohn’s, though. In any case, finding a treatment that works well is what’s most important regardless of the diagnosis, and there are a variety of effective treatments for Crohn’s.
I agree with Scott’s post, my only question is the rationale for coming out of the blocks with Entyvio rather than Remicade. I have inflammation in the Pouch and above it and the Remicade has been very effective on the Pouch inflammation, less so on the inflammation above the Pouch. Is the feeling that Entyvio is the better option than Remicade because the inflammation is all above the Pouch? The reasoning behind the treatment is what I would like to know.
I have ulcers in multiple places. As far as the duodenum. So I really wouldn't think that could be caused by backwash ileitis. The reason I got the surgeries was because remicade and Humira failed. Can't go on them. That leaves Entyvio.
It is also not SIBO. I was already tested.
Well that explains it. You probably do have Crohn’s (that’s my operative diagnosis as well) but your main concern should be finding a proper treatment that works. Entyvio will hopefully be more effective than Remicade and Humira.
