Hi everyone,

I read that on average a person gets a tummy bug once a year. So my question is what is an average for someone with a Jpouch?

I have a Jpouch and I also can't have gluten or dairy, and I seem to get an upset stomache quite often. I am trying to sort it out naturally with physilium husk tablets as I am trying to avoid taking imodium. We are trying to get pregnant so I want to be careful.

I will be honest I know if I excercise my stomache is much better and other then walking I'm not doing much of that. Any advice would be appreciated as getting an upset stomach so often is very depressing.

Candicet, I'd guess that your upset stomach issues may have nothing to do with your J-pouch. Perhaps you have another food sensitivity to track down, or untreated gastritis, as a couple of possibilities. And since "upset stomach" can mean many different things, these are just guesses.

Lomotil is safer in pregnancy than Imodium, according to the information available, at least until the third trimester.
