I have a swollen piriformus (Sp?) muscle in my but, probably as a result of straining to go to the bathroom as a result of a stricture in my anastimosis.  I'm now self-dilating, weekly,  but even with the help of  massage therapist, can't seem to get the swelling to go away. Anybody have experience with this issue and any advice you can give?

I'm dealing with this today. There are some very helpful  stretches that keep me functional when my piriformis is acting up. You can find videos on YouTube demonstrating them. They sometimes hurt like a #*!+@, so I wouldn't recommend doing them in a cubicle. This is one situation that causes me to use an NSAID for a couple of days.
