been in hospital five times since early becember with blockages had adhesions surgery hoping this would resolve the problem no just got out again the doctor has come to the conclusion I have a dysfunctional j pouch ,he is saying I have to live with it giving me gastro graffin to take home start early and hope it resolves before going to hospital .i don't want to go through this every time would anyone have a surgestion or have same problem thanks Susan

A dysfunctional pouch can make you miserable, but I'm not convinced it can cause blockages (someone please correct me if you know otherwise). Maybe you need a new doctor?
Not unless the blockages are in your j-pouch or right above it would your j-pouch cause blockages. I had 2 surgeries that included work on my internal adhesions/scarring. My surgeon never said my j-pouch caused the adhesions. All the open abdominal surgeries I had caused them.
