Hi! Writing from Norway, hope my English is ok!

Any of you had pouchits with inflammation up the small intestine? Mine is at least 60cm up (as far up as they could see with the scope)

I was diagnosed UC in 1985 10 years old. Cancer colon 1996 and got my IAA in 1997.

Really afraid that this inflammation is Crohns and what that will mean for me an my IAA!!!

On ciproxin and entocort now and then a new scopi and Mr in two weeks.

Anyone with UC who had had pouchits like this? I have had some before but as far as I know newer outside the pouch...

thanks!

It could be backwash ileitis, but 60 cm seems unusually long for that.

Crohn's is just a word. Even if it is Crohn's, the course can be quite benign, and the treatments are often quite effective.

Thank you Scott! Kind of freaking out here. It's been a lot... I got so surprised, disappointed and overwhelmed at the hospital and can't stop thinking about what this inflammation means. Just have to try to calm down and wait for more examinations and results, I guess.

Have a nice day,

C
