Hi guys,

First off, for those who don't know me, I have had a k pouch with my bottom closed off since 1979.

That said, other than a couple of tumors down there in the 80's and a 'heavy' feeling down there from time to time I really do not think about that part of my body.

So what is happening right now is very strange.

I feel like a buzzing or electrical current going through the area. Not sure if you remember those hand buzzers that they sold in Joke shops...but it feels like that...or like someone put a live wire down there.

It is on and off, not continuous but it hasn't stopped all day.

Anyone else get this? What is it? Why now?

That is what is freaking me out...the sudden appearance of it yesterday. I get tweeks and tweerks down there, that heavy feeling like there is something growing in there (I have had scans in the general region, there is nothing) but this was kinda strange...nothing for the moment this morning...But Janet is right, it may be nerve pain from the fall...I landed on the coccyx pretty badly so it is possible that with all of the twisting and turning trying to crack myself back into place that something moved where it shouldn't.

Will monitor it.

I already have one that has been compressed since the fall but this one is/was new...I haven't been adjusted in a few months...So it wouldn't be that...but might be from the Pilates/yoga I am doing to try to ease the pain???

It has gone away again but left me with a 'full' feeling down there...very weird.

It is asparagus and artichoke season here and I tend to eat a lot of them but also drink the cooking water that is full of vitamins as well as being very, very diurectic...meaning I pee 22xs/day...although I keep hydrating I may be losing too many trace minerals...I will try to add a few other elements to my 'water' and see if that helps...if not I will hit the supplements aisle at my local drugstore.

SKN69...bit of a coincidence but I had my 3 month appointment with my doc yesterday, im doing good but I did mention reduced energy levels (as I still like to cycle etc).  He said basically what I already knew, hydration really important blah blah.  But as I had no dizziness or cramping I hadn't considered dehydration as a possible cause.

Anyway he suggested I made my own rehydrating drink.  Basically..

1 litre of water

6 flat tea spoons of sugar

0.5 teaspoon of salt ((a posh salt like rock salt or himilayan salt is probally best as contains more nutrients)

200 ml of orange juice (potassium and flavour)

so im trying this today, cheap and easy... (instead of orange juice you could eat a banana or mash it into the water.  Failing that just do without the fruit all together or you can use fresh lemon juice)..
