Hello!
I have 29 years. Man. I have a J-Pouch made on September 1. 2016. I'm waiting for Step 2 (final) Now I have a temporary ileostomy.
The recovery is going well, pouchogram is good, a rectal test is good.
Mucus and water are a normal symptom, you know it ...
10 days ago I noticed for the first time blood. (Normal red)
. So little blood mixed with mucus (Small spots of blood in mucus) and blood mixed with water.
Blood, for example today was present mixed with dirty water and the blood in the mucus was darker than before. 3 hours then emptied himself clean water without blood. Have you had these symptoms before removing ileostomy?  I'm scared of symptoms with blood ...
My english is not so good but I try, greetings from Croatia. Thank you for understanding!

I don't remember having any bleeding issues with the temporary ileostomy, and I have had them two times--one for the total colectomy and the other for a bowel reconstruction of the entire J-Pouch a year and a half later.  My best advice to you would be to call your doctor.

Have you eaten anything thing that might be irritating like popcorn or nuts or celery, etc.?

I know I had the colectomy for cancer and Ulcerative Colitis, but after the first surgery, it was determined that I had Crohns Disease. I don't know what exactly prompted your surgery, but if you do have Crohns, then it might be possible for it to be a flare of that. In any event, call your doctor.

It may be something or it may be nothing to worry over-. Of course, if you start to bleed more profusely, then you need to get more immediate care.

Not your average gal!
