hi everyone.  It's been a really busy summer and I have not been around much.  I did want to let everyone know that finally, Jeffrey is doing great!  It's been a long two and a half years and we could not have made it without all of you.  I so appreciate all the prayers, thoughts and words of encouragement.  In September, Jeff had a biological plug put into the abscess and fistula and into his small intestine where he had such a tiny hole.  About the size of a pin prick.  It's amazing to me that something so tiny could cause such big problems.  Well, it's been about seven weeks and the insertion site on his butt has closed up.  The doctors are feeling confident that this last procedure has been a success!  Originally they told me there was a 20% success rate.  Now they tell me it was really a. 60% success rate, but they didn't want to get our hopes up.  This procedure had only been done about a dozen times at Weill Cornell, so there was not a lot of data to go on.  But I think I can go out on a limb and say IT WAS A SUCCESS,  hopefully this will last a few years if not more.  But finally, Jeffreymismoff all the narcotics and feeling great!  It's been a long road, but I think we are finally out of the woods.  Thank you everyone for all your kind words and through to and prayers.  It was such a blessing to me.
