The CDC has concluded that General Mills flour products may contain E-coli...GM may be voluntarily recalling millions of dollars worth of products. There has been a multi-state outbreak across 24 states.

This contamination has nothing to do with the reasons people might choose to avoid flour in general. Almost any food product can become contaminated, if there's a handling or packaging screw up.
