just 2 weeks ago had surgery for a type of prolapse- scope confirmed a flap had developed on anterior wall of pouch. This would come out every time I had BM, and then go back in, but I always needed to go again and again to empty. Surgery / mucosectomy and pouch advancement was "successful" in that surgeon felt it went well, and he was able to do it without an Ostomy. All done transanally so no abdominal incision. Now I wish I had temp ostomy because again I've developed this pointy tissue protruding with each BM. I've got call into surgeon but not only am I devastated about this turn of events, but have no idea what could be prolapsing since the mucousal lining was removed. Any one have any ideas? Can the anal lining prolapse? Doesn't seem to be just a flap, more like long top of Christmas tree coming out? Have know idea what's ahead but would welcome any ideas!
