Can oil of oregano be taken at the same time as tinidazole? Flagyl? Xifaxan? I'm assuming not with Cipro since they are so similar. Oil of oregano seems to be helping with my chronic pouchitis; I've been taking it for about a month now. However, last week my pouchitis intensified (ate a few sugar-filled, dangerous items while a friend was visiting. Never again!) so I wanted to increase my antibiotic intake to regain control of pouchitis symptoms.

Thanks for your input,

Laura

I'm glad the oil of oregano is helping you. Products like this are very little researched, though, so drug interaction data will be very incomplete. The only drug interaction I found documented for oregano is with lithium. The rest of your question was confusing - I first thought you were asking about oregano interactions, but then it seemed like tinidazole interactions ( because of your Cipro comment).
