I had this too, after surgery.  My surgeon sent me to rheumatologist where first ankylosing spondylitis was dx'd, and then the dx was changed to sacroiliitis.   I had severe cuffitis at the time, as well, but I didn't notice the tailbone/hip pain getting worse when my pouch got worse.  It hurt constantly.

There have been numerous posts here on tailbone pain. Doing a search and reading the lot would likely be very useful to you. Here's what I replied to one in April of last year:

A couple of years ago I developed significant tailbone pain (it was worst when getting off a chair - I would make quite a face getting off the stationary bicycle). I never really did much about it, and it very slowly receded and is now essentially gone. OTOH I've been on antibiotics the whole time, more or less, so who knows?

Hi

I also have similar symptoms of tail bone-buttock area pain which worsens in standing or sitting for long time. How long did it take you to overcome the pain? I am 8 months post takedown.

Thanks
