Hello J- and K-pouchers,
I have recently starting making my own kombucha, which is a fermented tea. Apparently it is supposed to be good for your microbiome to drink this. I have to say that I really think it does help me. Two years ago, I went through what might be described as a chronic inflammatory condition in my pouch (I would call it pouchitis, but my main symptom was bleeding). Since getting my iron back up with supplements (that took a while) and making a drinking my own kombucha, I have not had a problem. Does anyone else drink this stuff and has it helped, in your experience?
