Wondering how we jpouchers can have internal hemmoroids if we don't have a real rectum. I'm trying to soothe myself because I just went to the bathroom and had a large amount of blood on the toilet paper. Scared the heck out of me and reminded me of the old days when I had UC. 
Please tell me that it's possible and if it isn't, what could it possibly be?

Actually, yes. Hemorroids arise from the very bottom of the rectum (where the rectal cuff and anorectal junction are). As shown in this diagram, they are at the level or below the sphincters. Another reason not to strain.

Thanks, Jan, I feel a little better with your response. I never saw as much blood as I saw before, so it really freaked me out. Besides sitz baths, is there anything else I can do to heal it?
Fiber maybe? The link I posted had the usual suggestions.

Can it be caused by cuffitis? I had some toilet bowls full of blood caused by it 
I don't think so TE Marie, I don't have any symptoms of cuffitis. It hasn't happened again, so I'm hoping that it was just an internal hemorroid.
