These are both usually pretty easy procedures. Pouchoscopy is like a miniature colonoscopy, with a tiny scope that examines the inside of the pouch. Most people don't bother with sedation, though some prefer sedation. It just takes a few minutes. A pouchogram is an X-ray study in which the pouch is filled with dye that blocks x-rays, allowing x-ray images to check for leaks, strictures, and pouch capacity.

EUA (examination under anesthesia) is needed if some significant procedure is planned. Since your doctor suspects a pre-pouch stricture, he may be planning a procedure to dilate or release the stricture, which could be very unpleasant while awake. I'd suggest you find out what he's got planned. Even when it's the best path forward it's helpful (IMO) to know the risks.
