I have been struggling with right flank pain that becomes a cute and becomes side spree in abdomen. I have been seen by Dr and surgeon and no real answers. Next step is for me to push to see urology/nephrology. Anyone have experience with this?

By right flank do you mean the hip or the buttocks?
It could be sacroilitis, sciatica, blocked nerves, hernia...
Have you seen a chiropractor or an osteopath? It could help.

By right flank I mean the right flank the midsection of the right side of my body including the front and back. Where the kidney/liver is. ...
Saraw, have you had a urine culture? A UTI can spread up into the kidney and make you pretty miserable. Have kidney stones been checked for?
How about MRI. Could be your back with pinched nerve. Also if you have UC, get checked for PSC not to scare you.
All of the above plus galbladder..right flank front and back could very well be galbladder which is next to the liver...does it hurt in the middle of the back too, between your shoulder blades like there is a knife or pressure there?
Any nausea? Heart burn?
Does it hurt more or less on an empty stomach? After a meal?

Skn69. This is most definitely a kidney or liver issue.
This issue started in September, in November I spent 6 days in hospital taking all sorts of GI tests all of which came back with no answers other than a slight case of pouchitis and no answer to the excruciating flank and abdominal pain. I have no gallbladder. Last week they tested for UTI and that was possitive and also contained blood. They cultured it and that came back negative. I was put on a sulfa med for three days and that did cut the pain back but it never goes away completely. It builds and slightly subsides and builds more. I am just looking to see who else might have same issues and advice. I am frustrated.
So I thank those who have addressed my condition with personal and knowledgeable information! Those stabbing in the dark... please stop.
MRI, endoscopy, pouchoscopy, motility testing.... Those were the tests done in November and the only things that showed up then was inflamation of abdominal wall and stomach on right side and slight pouchitis.
Kidney stone? Did you ever get to feeling better?
I saw urology and was very disappointed in how the apt. went but anyway they don't think it is kidney but yet they want me to try 8 weeks of Macrobid antibiotic. I msgd my family Dr yesterday with my concerns and wanting to look into PSC. So it's more wait and see
Did they talk about stone possibility? Maybe ask family doc (depending on location of pain) for a right upper quadrant US? Any possibility of uterine issue? The fascia plane...one in particular goes to the liver area. Just thinking and hoping its figured out soon.
I was having the same pain you are describing. It ended up being a good size cyst on my right ovary which kept growing and then was taken out. I was having referred pain. It's worth getting looked at if you haven't already. I had no idea my flank pain would have ended up being an ovarian cyst. I was shocked. Good luck and hope you find some relief!!!
