Hi,
Anyone self administer with normal syringe & needle. If so where & size of needle & how far do you go in.
I'm fed up traveling & waiting, sometimes it hurts for a few minutes after & the nurse says it's out of the question to self administer although this is Spain (people in white coats seem to have god like status).

I self administer my B 12 shot and have been doing it for years. I inject in my thigh, into the fat. Have no idea of the size of the needle, but I do plunge it in fairly deep, at least an inch, and slowly inject the fluid. It doesn't bother me to do it as it isn't any more painful then pinching one self – – at least that's the way I think about it and just do it

I give myself monthly B12 shots. I use an 1m insulin syringe. I give myself the shot in my thigh and insert the entire needle for stability while pushing the plunger. As long as I relax my leg it does not hurt at all.

Read your bottle. It should say IM or Sub-Q. Do sub-Q, little to no pain, in fat with an insulin syringe.
