My name is Liam and I am 21 years old, have been living with a J pouch since December 2014 and I have had no troubles at all apart from the occasional butt burn, but recently I have been having a difficult time with my J pouch as I seem to be having difficulty completely emptying my pouch especially at night time, every 15-20 minutes or so I feel a straining/Heavyness inside my anus which is really uncomfortable but not painful, I have also been having increased urgency because of this although often I don't need to empty my pouch when I think I do, usually I empty my pouch 3-6 times per day but for the past couple of weeks I have been going the toilet 8-10 times per day, could someone please tell me the reasons behind this? I would really appreciate it,

Sounds like you have pouchitis, and a round of antibiotics will help clear your symptoms.

Yep - sounds like that - you will have to go in - which I know you'd rather avoid. But, I hope it's something a simple antibiotic will clear up for you. Good Luck!
