Well, on 11/24 I had my takedown. The hospital stay was awful, 9 days! It was bad, couldn't keep even ice chips down the entire time. I was so relieved to go home this time. Still couldn't keep anything down for another 4 days after I got home, then things settled down.

But, the pouch is great!!!  No issues, just urgency to go, the infamous butt burn, and a lot of gas. She's working like a charm, I couldn't be happier!!!  I was quite worried after reading some of the issues everyone's had with their pouches, but so far, so good!!  The only major problem is the lack of sleep.  I'm getting more and more crabby as time goes by and I don't sleep. Pain is another issue, but that's going to lessen with time, I'm sure of it.  I've actually put some weight back on, so that tells me foods are finally absorbing!!!

i just wanted to update the group on my progress, 2015 has been a tough year and I'm looking forward to it ending with 2016 being a good healing year!!

Well, a month post takedown and besides the pain in my side where the incision and stoma was, things are fantastic. I only go once, maybe twice a day and still no urgency. No leakages, even the burn is minimal!!  I'm very pleased. Still lacking sleep and that's mainly from the pain, every movement is painful. I wake up each time I move in  my sleep due to the pain.  But the pouch is working great, I'm really happy about it.  Life without the bag couldn't be better, I loathed that bag.  Sleep is what I'm missing the most now, but I know in time that will come!  I wish these great pouch results for everyone!!
