Hello,

I'm having pretty bad stomach pains, nausea, and vomiting.  It's been 6 months since I had the take down surgery.  Went to the ER this morning and had a CT Scan that showed nothing but inflammation.  My blood work looked good.  But, I'm still having severe pain.  I've never had pain like this before with pouchitis. Wondering if anyone else here has went through this?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer.

It sounds rather like a small bowel obstruction. Do you know if they considered that in the ER? It's suprisinig that they would miss it. What did they think you had?

Are you able to hold down any fluids? There's a real risk of dehydration if you can't. Are you pooping at all? If you're not then that would, I think, seal the deal. I hope it clears up on its own - obstructions usually do, but it's worrisome that you're already vomiting.

They diagnosed me with Pouchitis.  I have already been treated for pouchitis.  I have had it constantly since about a month after my takedown.  I have never felt this amount of pain with pouchitis.  They gave me dilaudid in my IV and that helped.  He asked if I wanted to stay and of course I said NO.  I left with a prescription for Percocet, prednisone, flagyl and cipro.  After the dilaudid wore off the pain is back and the percocet is not helping.  I am pooping but not much.  So far I am not keeping liquids down.
