Dear J pouchers, I have had the pouch since 1992, in the last 2 years I have had 4 ops for bowel adhesions, the last one was in October. I have alot of pain the rectum area(not sure if thats the right description). I went to my GP who did not want to give me any pain relief containing opiates, worrying about blockages. She gave me Anusol Suppositories. They are rather large and am a bit worried about inserting something so big into an area already inflammed.
I was wondering if anyone on here had used this OTC medication, whether it caused any pain on insertion and whether in fact it gave any relief. I see my surgeon in a few weeks, hes already recommended reversal back to the illeostomy, I know I have bleeding ulcers in the pouch, but am worried about even more adhesions, more ops = more adhesions.
Any advice would be appreciated.
