Looking for suggestions as to what Probiotic works well for you.
VSL3 works really well for me, but its not covered as a prescription (because its an over the counter) and its really pricy.
So looking for your advice as to which probiotic works well for you and where is the best place to get it for as inexpensive as possible.

I use a chewable gummy by either Costco or GNC (can no longer remember) but it worked better than my prescription ones.

Thanks - Walmart has them too, butt (pun intended) I was wondering how well they worked. Might have to give them a try.

VSL#3ds is sometimes covered under your insurance drug plan.
Im UK based, they seem to have discontinued the VSL over here. Anybody recommend a VSL alternative?
Do you notice an improvement while taking it?
I have been on VSL for the last two weeks and I definitely notice an improvement. But because here in the US and under my particular medical plan, VSL is considered over the counter and is therefore not covered. And because it is so expensive, I am considering ALIGN as my alternative.
You need your doctor to prescribe VSL#3 DS (double strength) to get insurance coverage. It is by prescription only, whereas the other strengths are OTC. Even then, you may not get coverage.

VSL#3 was also cost prohibitive for me as my drug plan does not cover it, even with a prescription, not to mention, many pharmacies told me they couldn't order it in anyway. So after trying several other brands, including Culturelle, Jaimeson 4-strain, and generic Lactobacillus acidophilus, I eventually started taking Align and I've had very good results with it. I've been using it just over 2 years now. Align tends to be widely available, and it's a little more budget friendly than VSL. I'd recommend buying it at Costco as I've found it's significantly cheaper there.
Thanks Spooky! = I am going to go the ALIGN route from COSTCO. Two bottles with and $11 discount for a basically 3 month supply on sale now for $43 and some change. Also going to chat VSL3 DS with my gastro MD when I have my routine flex sig in December. BTW this feb will be my 6 yr pouch anniversary.
